Daewoo Cargo Tracking Status Meanings
An independent guide to Daewoo Smart Cargo tracking updates: when each scan happens, what it means, and when the receiver should go to the terminal to collect.
How Daewoo Cargo Tracking Works
Daewoo Smart Cargo works differently from a normal courier. Parcels travel between bus terminals on normal passenger coaches, so tracking shows stops at terminals, not visits to homes.
Each update is made when terminal staff scan the barcode on your booking. The main scans happen when the parcel is booked, when it is loaded onto a coach, and when it reaches the cargo room at the destination terminal.
What Each Daewoo Tracking Status Means
Booked at Origin Terminal
The sender has handed in the parcel at the Daewoo cargo desk. Staff weighed it, checked where it is going, took payment (or marked it “To Pay”) and printed the receipt.
Operational Meaning: The parcel is waiting in the cargo area to go on the next coach to the destination city.
Dispatched & In Transit
Staff have loaded the parcel onto a coach, and the coach has left the terminal. The parcel is on the road to the other city.
Operational Meaning: There are no updates while the coach is on the road. The status stays the same until the coach reaches the destination terminal.
Arrived at Destination Terminal
The coach has reached the destination terminal. Staff have unloaded the luggage hold, moved the parcels into the cargo room and scanned them in.
Operational Meaning: The parcel is at the destination terminal and ready to collect. The receiver usually gets an SMS saying it has arrived.
Collected at Cargo Counter
The receiver has come to the cargo counter, shown ID, paid anything still due and signed for the parcel.
Operational Meaning: The parcel has been handed over, and tracking for this booking is finished.
On hold or delayed
Something has held up the parcel. It might be a coach delayed by weather, unclear receiver details on the receipt, packaging that needs checking, or a parcel left too long at the terminal.
Operational Meaning: The sender or receiver should call the helpline on 042-111-007-009, or go to the destination cargo desk with the booking number.
When Should You Go to the Terminal?
Follow these tips so you do not waste a trip or wait at the terminal:
- Wait for “Arrived”: Do not go to the terminal while the status says “In Transit”. You can only collect the parcel after the destination terminal scans it in.
- Bring Required Identification: The receiver should bring their original CNIC and the booking number.
- Collect within 5 days: Storage is free for 5 days after the arrival message. After that, there is a daily late fee of 10% of the freight charge.
- Inspect Outer Packaging: Before you sign for it, check the outside of the box for damage or signs it was opened, with a staff member watching.
Why Tracking Only Updates at Terminals
Many people expect to see the coach moving on a map. But Daewoo Smart Cargo tracking works by scanning barcodes at terminals.
While the coach is on the road, there is nothing to scan. So the status stays the same until the coach reaches the destination terminal and staff scan the parcel into the cargo room.
