Daewoo Cargo Tracking Number and Receipt Guide
How to find the tracking number on your terminal receipt, what the other parts of the receipt mean, and why a bus ticket will not work for tracking.
What Is a Daewoo Cargo Tracking Number?
When you book a parcel at a Daewoo Express bus terminal cargo counter, the system creates a booking record with its own number, often called the “CN Number” or “Booking Number”. It may include letters as well as numbers. This number is the key to your parcel for the whole trip.
The number links your parcel to the sending terminal, the coach it travels on, the destination terminal, and the sender’s and receiver’s details. Without it, terminal staff cannot look up your parcel or hand it over.
Where to Find the Number on Your Receipt
Every booking at a cargo counter gives you a printed receipt. Look in these places:
1. Under the barcode
The easiest place is just under the barcode on the receipt. Staff scan this barcode at the terminals. The characters printed below it are your tracking number.
2. Top Header Section
Near the top of the receipt, next to the date and the name of the terminal, look for a box marked “CN No” or “Receipt No”.
3. SMS Arrival Notification
If the receiver gets an SMS when the parcel arrives, the message usually includes the booking number.
Bus Ticket or Cargo Receipt? Know the Difference
A common mistake is trying to track cargo with a passenger bus ticket. Both come from the same bus terminal, but they are different documents:
Cargo Booking Receipt
- Given by the cargo counter staff.
- Shows the weight, size and type of item.
- Has a tracking barcode and booking number.
- Can be tracked online at fastex.pk.
Passenger Seat Ticket
- Given at the passenger ticket counter.
- Shows the seat number, departure time and fare.
- Only for getting on a bus.
- Cannot be used to track cargo.
What Else Is on Your Cargo Receipt
Besides the tracking number, check these details on your receipt before you leave the counter:
- Origin & Destination Stations: Check that the staff chose the right city and terminal, where the receiver will collect the parcel.
- Consignee Name & Phone: The receiver’s phone number must be right, so they get the arrival SMS.
- Payment Status: Shows whether the freight is “Paid” (paid by the sender) or “To Pay” (the receiver pays when collecting).
- Declared Value / Description: A general description of what is inside, for checks at the terminal.
How to Type Your Tracking Number Correctly
Follow these tips when you type your number into the tracking site:
- Omit Whitespace & Dashes: Type the characters in one run, without spaces, slashes or dashes, even if the receipt shows gaps.
- Check Ambiguous Characters: On some receipts, zero (“0”) looks like the letter “O”, and one (“1”) looks like the letter “I”. If the site says the number is not valid, check these.
- Exclude Passenger PNRs: Make sure you are not typing the booking reference from a bus seat ticket. Tracking needs the cargo booking number.
Lost Your Cargo Receipt?
If you lose the receipt, act quickly. The sender should go back to the terminal where they booked it, with their original CNIC and roughly when they booked, so the staff can look it up.
