Daewoo Terminal-to-Terminal Delivery: Complete Process Guide
A plain guide to how Daewoo Smart Cargo moves parcels from one terminal to another: handing it in, travel on the bus and collecting it at the other end.
How Terminal-to-Terminal Cargo Works
Daewoo Smart Cargo works from terminal to terminal. Your parcel starts and ends at Daewoo bus terminals. Nobody delivers it to a home address. The sender and the receiver both deal with the terminal cargo counters.
Because everything happens at the terminals, parcels move from the bus to the terminal storeroom without extra delivery steps.
Step 1: Handing In Your Parcel at the Sending Terminal
It starts when the sender brings the packed parcel to the cargo counter at the sending terminal. This is what happens:
1. Checking and Weighing
Staff check that the parcel is packed well and that nothing inside is banned. They weigh it and may measure it.
2. Receiver Details
The sender gives the receiver’s full name, city, destination terminal and a mobile number. The mobile number must be right, because the arrival notice goes to it.
3. Booking Slip and Payment
The counter gives you a booking slip with your booking number. Ask at the counter how the freight charge is paid for your parcel.
Step 2: Loading and Travel by Bus
After the parcel is booked, staff take it to the bus:
- Loading: The parcel goes on a Daewoo bus going to the destination city, in the luggage bay with passenger bags.
- Travel: The bus travels to the destination terminal on its normal route.
- Tracking: Online tracking shows the parcel leaving, then in transit until it reaches the destination terminal.
Step 3: Arrival and Collection (What the Receiver Does)
When the bus reaches the destination terminal, the receiver’s part begins:
1. Unloading
Staff take the parcel off the bus and put it in the terminal cargo storeroom.
2. Arrival Scan and Notice
The parcel is scanned in at the terminal, and an arrival notice is sent to the receiver’s phone.
3. Checking ID and Handing Over
The receiver goes to the terminal cargo counter with the booking number and their original CNIC, pays anything still owed and signs to collect the parcel.
Storage Time and Collecting Promptly
Terminal storerooms are not long-term warehouses. Storage is free for 5 days after the arrival notice. After that, Daewoo charges 10% of the freight charge for each extra day.
