Daewoo Tracking Glossary: Terms Explained
A quick guide to the words on a Daewoo Smart Cargo booking receipt, and how it differs from the FastEx service.
Consignment Number
The code printed under the barcode on your terminal booking receipt. Our tracker searches with this number. It is not your bus ticket number.
Terminal Collection
How Daewoo Smart Cargo works: the receiver collects the parcel from the destination bus terminal counter. Nobody delivers it to the door.
Manifest
The record made when a parcel is booked at the sending counter, before it goes on a bus.
Demurrage
A storage charge for parcels left at the destination terminal too long. Storage is free for 5 days after the arrival notice, then Daewoo charges 10% of the freight charge per extra day.
CNIC Verification
The ID check when you collect a parcel. Staff check your original CNIC against the receiver’s name on the booking.
Daewoo FastEx
A separate service in the same group, delivering to the door instead of terminal to terminal. A FastEx parcel is tracked separately, in the FastEx system.
Tracking Not Updating
Scans happen at booking, when the parcel leaves and when it arrives, not during the road trip. A quiet tracker in the middle of the trip is normal.
